gln - Global Location Number

The Global Location Number (GLN) is part of the GS1 systems of standards. It is a simple tool used to identify a location and can identify locations uniquely where required.

This function produces artificial Global Location Numbers with or without specific Company Prefixes and Location References.

Usage(s)

gln ( ) Returns a random GLN number
gln ( $prefill ) Returns a random GLN number with a prefix $prefill

Parameter(s)

$prefill The optional parameter to indicate a specific range

Returns a valid GLN code

gln(1337) // 13377923938760
Returns a valid GLN code with a specific prefix of 1337 (used to specify Company Prefix or Location Reference)
